Hello OCFDGA members,

I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the start of a new year on the course! It’s my pleasure to share some exciting updates as we continue to grow and strengthen our community.

We are thrilled to welcome two new members to our board: Roy Herbold, who will be taking on the role of Handicap Chair, and Marci Regan, who will be our new Club Secretary. Both Roy and Marci bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to their new positions, and we are confident they will contribute greatly to the future success of our club. Please join me in welcoming them aboard!

At the same time, we want to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to those who are stepping down from their roles after years of dedicated service. A special thank you to Bob Mapstead, our outgoing Handicap Chair, whose tireless work has helped ensure a fair and consistent system for all of our members. Bob’s contributions have made a lasting impact, and we are grateful for his commitment.

Similarly, we owe our deepest thanks to Chris Leonard, our outgoing Secretary. Chris’s meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills have been invaluable in keeping our club running smoothly. We wish both Bob and Chris all the best and thank them for their many years of service.

As we look ahead to 2025, we are excited about the direction of our club, and with the new board in place, we are poised for another great year of camaraderie, competition, and, of course, great golf. Thank you for being a part of our community, and I look forward to seeing you on the course soon.
